ABC News has released a bonus episode of The Dropout, the podcast that inspired Hulu’s Emmy-winning series about Elizabeth Holmes. The episode focuses on the documentary You Can See Everything, directed by Nathan Fielder and Lance Oppenheim, and is available on podcast platforms.
The film addresses the Hulu series and includes a scene in which Holmes watches part of it with Fielder at her home. The podcast episode also features an interview with Theranos whistleblower Erika Cheung, who discusses her reaction to the documentary.
Hosted by Rebecca Jarvis, ABC News’ chief business, technology and economics correspondent and a contributing anchor on Good Morning America, The Dropout first launched in 2019. A second season followed in 2021, with bonus episodes released in 2022 alongside the Hulu adaptation.
ABC says plays of the podcast across Spotify and Apple rose by 2,500 percent in the second week after the documentary’s release. The new episode comes as the show experiences renewed interest.
