Dafne Keen has spoken about encountering drugs at wrap parties while working as a child actor, saying she was offered cocaine when she was around 11, 12 or 13 years old. She shared the memory during an appearance on the Inside of You podcast with Michael Rosenbaum.
Asked about drinking, Keen said she had never been drunk enough to have a hangover and described herself as cautious. “I was getting offered coke at wrap parties,” she recalled. Keen said she declined and had no interest in taking it after seeing the effects of substance use as a child.
The actress said she enjoys going out for music, dancing and company, but prefers to do so sober. She also recalled pretending she had already taken something as a teenager to avoid pressure to drink, despite being sober.
Keen also reflected on making Logan alongside Hugh Jackman, in which she played Laura, also known as X-23. She said Jackman offered positive encouragement and advice, and described him as a protective presence on set.
“He made sure that no one was abusing my hours, that I was having fun on set, that I wasn’t aware of any tensions that would’ve been happening behind the scenes,” Keen said.
