How to Add IndieWire as a Preferred Source on Google

Google users can add IndieWire as a preferred source to make its film and television reporting more prominent in search results, Discover and AI Overviews, according to the publication.

To set it up manually, search Google for an entertainment topic, such as a film, TV show or festival. In the “Top Stories” section, select the starred “Customize” icon, then search for and choose IndieWire as a preferred source. Click “Reload Results” to apply the selection.

IndieWire also says users can add the publication through a direct link or the “Add Us As a Preferred Google Source” button at the top of its article.
