Jisoo, a member of Blackpink, has written an original song for The Angry Birds Movie 3. Titled “Sun Showers,” the track is expected to feature in the film and its forthcoming trailer, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
The song’s artwork includes Shumon, a small dustball character Jisoo created in middle school, before her debut as a K-pop idol. She said seeing the character brought to life was deeply meaningful. Jisoo described the track as a fun, feel-good song inspired by the film’s playful energy.
The animated film from Paramount Pictures is scheduled for release on Dec. 3. Its story follows an angry bird facing fatherhood while trying to save the world.
The cast includes Jason Sudeikis, Josh Gad, Emma Myers, Rachel Bloom, Walker Scobell and Danny McBride. Lily James and Keke Palmer are also joining the film. John Rice directs, with a screenplay by Thurop Van Orman.
