Joel Kim Booster will host the first joint Jackson Wild and Hollywood Climate Summit Media Awards in Los Angeles on Nov. 10. Actor Matthew Lawrence is also set to appear as a guest presenter.
The ceremony will close Nature Media Exchange, a two-day summit running Nov. 9 and 10 at Solotech. The awards recognize nature and climate storytelling across film, television, games and digital media. The event is the first to be held under a partnership announced by Jackson Wild and the Hollywood Climate Summit in March.
Jackson Wild will present its 2026 Legacy Awards to documentarian Louie Psihoyos, who won an Oscar for “The Cove,” and Julie Packard, co-founder of the Monterey Bay Aquarium. Jackson Wild executive director Christie Quinn praised Psihoyos for using documentary storytelling to encourage audiences to act, and Packard for connecting the public with the ocean and advancing marine-life protection.
Finalists in the Hollywood Climate Summit categories include “Bugonia,” “Remarkably Bright Creatures,” “The Wild Robot,” “This Is a Gardening Show,” “Train Dreams,” “The Last of Us,” “Hacks” and “The Four Seasons.” Jackson Wild’s finalists include “A Gorilla Story: Told by David Attenborough,” “Secrets of the Bees: The Hive,” “Shark Whisperer” and “Time and Water.” Each organization manages its own categories and judging, with winners to be announced at the ceremony.
The awards will stream on Context Collaborative’s YouTube channel.
