The Tony Awards will continue airing on CBS through 2032 under a new agreement with the network. The ceremony has been broadcast on CBS since 1978, and its previous deal, signed in 2017, covered the awards through 2026.

The 80th edition of the awards will air live across the United States on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Sunday, June 13. Since 2021, the show has been split into two parts, with the first, focused largely on creative awards, streaming on Paramount-owned platforms.

The renewal follows strong ratings for the 2025 ceremony, hosted by Cynthia Erivo, and the 2026 show, hosted by Pink. The deal was announced as the network’s future under Skydance-owned CBS had raised questions about the partnership.

American Theatre Wing president and CEO Heather Hitchens and Broadway League president Jason Laks said the organizations were pleased to extend their long-standing relationship with CBS and look forward to the awards’ 80th anniversary. CBS Entertainment president Amy Reisenbach also welcomed the renewal, pointing to the network’s history of supporting the arts and its partnership with the two organizations.

Raj Kapoor, Sarah Levine Hall and Jack Sussman will produce the 2027 ceremony, after taking over the role in 2026 from longtime producers White Cherry Entertainment. Kapoor and Levine Hall will serve as co-showrunners, while Patrick Menton and Rob Paine will co-executive produce. Menton will also be head of talent.

The venue for the upcoming ceremony has not been announced. The Tonys have typically been held at Radio City Music Hall.
