Coach has introduced Loved Leather, a finish designed to give some of its popular styles a vintage-inspired, subtly distressed look. The treatment is applied to smooth or Glovetanned leather to reveal the material’s base color.
The finish appears across several categories, including handbags, footwear, outerwear, travel bags and small leather goods. Featured bag styles include the Brooklyn Shoulder Bag, Teri Shoulder Bag, Soft Empire Carryall Bag 48, Empire Carryall Bag 34, Kisslock Frame Bag 27 and Emily Shoulder Bag. Coach has also used the treatment on the Margot Sandal and Margot Slingback kitten heel.
Because the leather is intentionally given a lived-in appearance, no two pieces are exactly alike. Coach says the patina continues to develop as the products age and show natural signs of wear.
Loved Leather is available in brown, tan, black, olive and white, with silver or brass hardware. Coach has also introduced related Loved Suede and Loved Denim versions of the finish.
